Q. DID YOU RELOCATE WITH FAMILY? CHILDREN? HOW ARE THEY ADJUSTING TO RELOCATING? WHAT DO THEY ENJOY MOST ABOUT THEIR NEW COUNTRY?

A. I relocated just by myself.

Q. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR FIRST FEW MONTHS IN YOUR NEW LOCATION? ANY CHALLENGES? IF SO, HOW DID YOU RESOLVE THEM?

A. At first it was scary knowing that you will be in a different place with people you hardly know but eventually I enjoyed having my freedom. My challenge is how to adapt to the new place and to meet new people. As time goes by I learned that the people here are friendly and they helped me a lot with the adjustment and answered all my questions I could think of.

Q. NOW THAT YOU ARE SETTLING IN, IS THERE A BIG CHANGE IN CULTURE? DID YOU FIND ANY HELPFUL RESOURCES FOR EXPATS?

A. There was really a big change in terms of culture but you just have to embrace it and adapt to it. Always ask friends or colleagues if you have doubts on what to do or what not to do.

Q. ARE THERE ANY TIPS YOU WOULD GIVE TO A FRIEND OR FELLOW EXPAT THAT YOU WISH SOMEONE SHARED WITH YOU BEFORE YOU BEGAN YOUR FOREIGN ASSIGNMENT/RELOCATION?

A. Try to search first or if not explore more of the place so you would have an idea what the place and people are in your new relocation.
