A U.S. driver’s license is used to operate a motor vehicle and is a main form of identification, as the U.S. does not have a national identification system. Obtaining a U.S. driver’s license will be a requirement in some states to register and license a vehicle however, there are a handful of states that will only require you to have an overseas or international driver’s license.
